Congratulations to our Prof Fokion Egolfopoulos on his appointment to an endowed chair. USC President Max Nikias appointed him to the William E. Leonhard Professorship in Engineering on April 9.

AME faculty member Andrea Hodge, has won a DARPA Young Faculty Award and an ONR Young Investigator Award. These funds will fund her work in highly nanotwinned (for high strength) aluminum alloys and the formation of new states of matter and interfaces at the nanoscale.
