Browand Sessions at Symposium

The Seventh International Symposium on Stratified Flows (ISSF2011) held this summer in Rome, Italy, dedicated two sessions of its scientific program to AME Professor Emeritus Fred Browand.

The Symposium was held in the Engineering Faculty of Sapienza—University of Rome, just a few blocks from the Colosseum (Yes, they have one, too, and roughly the same distance from their offices as ours is from our AME offices.), with scientific sessions held from August 23—25, 2011. The ISSF is a specialist's conference held about every six years at various locations around the world to offer researchers interested in flows of fluids of varying density, particulary in oceans and atmospheres, the opportunity to discuss their results.
